2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Dad got a new truck...how did he do?

He just got a 1999 SLT Laramie QC 2wd auto trans with 77K miles on it. Front tires are new Michelins, rear's are the orig Michelins with about 20% left.

It was from a TDR member who lived in his retirement village and passed away last year.

The truck is in excellent cond. New 5th wheel hitch (16K) full running boards, air bags, tonneau cover.

I'm pretty sure he had every option except leather.

Payed ... ... ... ... . drum roll please... .....

10K !!

live and learn i guess. now check the fuel pressure and block number. good price non the less.

I think that's an exceptional price, however if it had a been a 4WD, stick shift, it would have been worth considerably bit more.

It sounds quite similar (except for the mileage) to my '98 that I paid $9700 for in February. I'd say he did VERY well.

back in 05 I paid 15,000 for my 95, with 52,000 and never pulled a load!Oo. I put the first reese hitch on it, in fact not all the paint was burrned off the manifold! the only down side was rust! my doors are shot any body know of a place to find them?

Thats a great deal I bought my 96 2wd with 46000 on it in 2004 and I paid about 13,000 plus tax and title. Id say he did pretty well.

Even for a 2WD auto, he did very well. Now if the truck was made in Mexico would be the icing on the cake.

Ditto. I actually feel better now, after talking to you. I hope Albie gets a lot of use out of that '05. I'll feel even better, once I get my '01 back. I just have a hard time believing that the Star Center has no NV5600s available. Is there any way you can double check that for me?

Update:

Dad might not be getting this truck.

I dont want to go into details here, but the deal might not fly. It has nothing to do with the truck.
