I've been having a problem for the past month or so. What happens is that the Edge Comp box (re-branded by BD) will lock up (none of the buttons do anything) and I will loose power. At times the engine will actually shut off and the Check Engine light will come on. Sometimes the box won't even come on when I start the truck. It always comes back on and runs fine when I turn the key off and then back on. Eventually it will lock up again; maybe 5 min. or maybe 5 days. I have a direct ground to battery and have re-wired the power to a aux fuse box I installed. Everything else doesn't loose power, so I don't think it's power.

When the box locks up it will turn all the lights off, leave them on like normal, or turn on / off random lights.

I have pulled the codes and get 0251, 0252, and 0252. So is it the pump or the box? What can I do to check it out?

I have run an edge EZ, TST powermax3, COMP, and now DRAG COMP. of all those the drag comp is the best hands down. i havent tried the TST COMP but i like the timing and adjustability of the drag comp. it runs really hard and doesnt cause as much heat (timing) as the TST. i love my drag comp and will not be changing it.

i tried stacking a comp (non tapped) in ez mode on the TST powermax 3 at the dragstrip and netted a little slower time. tried stacking the smarty on the TST and same result. the drag comp is a better box in my opinion and it doesnt need a stack for timing.

and for the record, the minor issues with the drag comp are not a big issue in my book. the benefits outweigh the problems by far
