Hay? what happened to Newsome?

this was the MTPA class results, we also pulled in the "pull your truck off the street and see what you got" it was not assocated with the MTPA group.

Mark, if you need a wht. rack we've got some for sale. we are building a hitch for my buddy (Chris Newsome) and his pulling truck, we can build you a rack too.

Let me know.

Your Friend

Josep

I have one, but it hangs off aftermarket brackets identical to OEM tow hook brackets. Trouble is even bolted up they will twist downward when weight is applied. They have been spot welded twice... . the last time they broke when I clutched it after my pull off win in Lafayette last year. My buddy looked at it and said I just need to break down and pull the bumper off where he can weld the brackets fully to the frame.

Thanks for the offer. ;)

Yeah like Joe said they had two classes. Chris's truck was not eligable for MTPA classes because of his hood stack. #@$%!

Josh W. 548.2 HP, 1071.8 TQ

Andy, Josh is running our ZVT Stage II clutch, he recently upgraded the input shaft to 1 3/8" and is using the 13" system. He did some apparenly effective and correct engine work to post these numbers which came in 2nd this year, but would have won last year at Bean's.

Nice job Josh. You still have some more clutch left, so keep milking the cows and check with the Mrs. before you order more parts.

Next Time

Sorry I missed the festivities at Bean's this year, I wanted to visit, but family obligations overruled.

What's next on the Mid-TN schedule?

Pretty good turnout for a holiday weekend I'm thinkin.

Next? no specific meet. Looks like MTPA and our boys are getting along. Probably "meet" and any of their pulls. I'll be at Mooretown each time.

HotRam03 has volunteered to host a gathering in Lebanon. Yall kick up a date. Prefer warm and not wet weather. ;)

How far did Chris and the dmax go?

Chris was made to pull as a exhibition because of his hood stack and meacham drove the d-max to a first place win in the street class.

Not sure if thats who you wanted to know about but thats all I know.

He was guided into the light and has seen what is right. The 8 cyclinder diesel is where its at. Bigger is better. Plus he got tired of the oil leaks in his driveway (ok low punch)

6. 6 > 5. 9:-laf

Like Wade said I've deicided to host a gathering at my place, I was thinking late April or June 1st area on a Sat. Everyone just kinda let me know what they think, I will take a look at the calender and pick something, hopefully warmer than Bean's dyno was :{ , it was alittle cool that day. I dont know what ya'll done in the past on eating, Everyone could bring some type of side dish, we could do some burgers and hot dogs on my grill. Don't mind some drinking and its BYOB and keep it in check, nothing rowdy like the Ferd boys at Beans did, with that said ya'll let me know something.

SEMA's point of view on the next diesels.

OK, eveyone knows I'm a newbie at making Diesel power, but it was interesting to read the comments about Meachem's favorite (?) oil burner in the SEMA article. In stock form, it has 16. 8:1 compression ratio (down from 17. 5:1) with Aluminum heads at 20 PSI max boost. I saw a 6. 4L Ford at the Louisville truck show, guys came over and looked at our humble 5. 9L and said there wasn't enough room under 6. 4L hood for the payment book.

I'll be watching, have at it!

Actually my favorite powerplant has a measly 359. 5 cubic inches and a pathetic 12 to 1 compression ratio. It will be here soon and any Durajunk that wants some can come on down. Andy, do you really think I would ever fade to the weak side? NEVER!

Meacham;)

Cummins in the blood.

Meacham does bleed cummins red!

I bleed a bit of clutch dust, 15W40, 30-06, smoked BBQ, and campfire smoke!

Dont worry meacham, I dont think anyone ever really thought you was changing sides. Everyone knows how die hard cummins you are.

By the way your d-max headstuds are in for your truck, I think Joe will run them to you this weekend. :)

Next Week

Well, next week it will be S. CA near L. A. and the burg of Victorville. I have already been through V-Ville last year on a long trip and had my 1st experience with one of those new Low Tire Pressure warning systems on a rental bugy keep your eyes out for these PITA systems, good for soccer moms, but I hear they can be a pistol to service.

Wade, does the likes of Avis, Hertz etc. do they let you rent new cars? Or has your ahem, reputation preceded you?

K-Ville area Help Needed

Check 2nd Gen, 24V forum, a member is stuck in Knoxville, lots of codes he is looking for help, he is from Canada.

Dang, everyone must be busy, no post in three days!! Somebody help me out. Weve got a 95 3500 2wd with the solid front axle. What do you guys think?? Will a 4wd axle bolt up to this unit?? I am thinking that it will. I found a donor truck with all the goods to convert this rig to 4wd, I am just pondering if it would be worth the trouble. Any help would be great!!
