So I'm looking at replacing my factory alloys with some new wheels. I have the stock tires on now but the next set will be 285/70/17's, and I don't want them to stick out very much past the fenders. So that brings up a couple questions.
First, what exactly do the backspace and offset numbers mean?
Second, what should I look for in the backspace and offset to get a wheel that will keep the tires within the fenders? I don't mind them moving out a little, but I would like to keep 'em tucked in.
Third, is our bolt pattern the 8 on 165 or the 8 on 170? I was thinking that Ferd used the 8 on 170... but I can't remember anything anymore.
The wheel I really like is the MKW M41 wheel. http://www.mkwheel.com/
They seem to have some pretty cool wheels, but I'm a little concerned that they don't print any weight ratings on the wheels. Is that something that no one does anymore?
Lastly, has anyone had any experience with this manufacturer?
Sorry for all the questions...
TIA!
