In Mid February I hit a tree with my 3500 Series Megacab. Not a very big tree, but caused a heck of a lot of damage.

With the truck 4 hours away from my house, I was a little nervous about who to have fix it and would it ever be the same. I selected Gaylord Collision to do the work and do not regret it one bit.

This was the truck after the accident.

This is a photo after I picket it up Monday.

Just like brand new.

On the way home I did notice an exhaust leak at my Jake Brake. Smitty at Gaylor Collision quickly worked with my local Dodge dealer to remedy the situation and I am back on the road... One major point of satisfaction was how well informed Smitty kept me during the process of 50 days worth of repair...

If you ever meet a tree in Northern MI. I would highly recommend them. .

I agree with Bighammer 100%. I think they did a great job but my 02 that had over $12,000(about 4K shy of the total mark ) only took about two weeks or so. Here is a before shot. Any way, glad you have it as good as new!!

Looks good but 50 days? WOW

Yeah, was a long time. Took some delay on both ends for them to get the truck and a couple of days for me to get up and get it.

Mine came to a hair over 17k in damage. They had to send it off to the local Dodge dealer in Gaylord to have the oil pan replaced, so that caused some delay as well.

That un-named dodge dealer in gaylord are the ones who just hosed me on pruchasing a used truck from them. Long story ahort, i still have now wheels.

Troll3193 Ouch! What did they have to do to fix the frame?

Do yourself a favor (or not) and go under the truck and check everything over carefully. I have yet to have any major work done to a vehicle where there were not missing or loose fasteners, wire looms not put back in the original restraining clips, etc. etc. It is somewhat understandable because of the pressure on the mechanics to get the vehicles done and out the door and they are often working on several jobs at the same time. Plus they do not get the luxury of re-checking their work at a leisurely pace like we owners can.

Looks good! Michigan is just a great place to be overall!

not to be pickey but is the "ram 3500" a little high?

brods,

The frame did not get any major damage. They measured it, but no major issues. Biggest expense & delay was that they had to completely replaced the front axle assembly ( all brand new) .

The arms that hold the axle buckled easily and I think they took the major hit and kept the impact off the frame.

I have put over 1000 miles on it, since getting it and it is tracking very straight. .

I have been looking it over, did find the radiator overflow was disconnected, that is the only thing I could find. .

IC Smoke, That is interesting, I will have to measure it compared to the other door...
