Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Over Rev'd and Startup

Over Rev'd at Startup

I started my truck this afternoon and it over rev'd, died down, rev'd, died down about three times and died as I turned it off. Started right back up fine. No codes! Changed the VP44 about a month and a half ago. Truck has flared a bit on startup after installing injectors and Comp in EZ mode a couple years ago, but this was over the top!!! Thoughts???? SNOKING

Never heard that one..... hope it isn't the vp44. I'm not sure if it would be the APPS or not. Have you adjusted the APPS lately? I'm just guessing here, but if it over rev'd, died down etc. It just sounds like a vp44 electrical problem.
