Characteristics of a failing CP3???

What are symptoms of a failing CP3?? Mainly because I just don't know...

consistant loss of power. constant white smoke due to debris in the injectors. low rail pressure. popping or missing at idle. and the list goes on. but all along the same lines. not very fun to diagnose at all.
