yep it works great and is a pretty easy install, the DSS plus the 3rd gen track bar has made my truck handle better than new!

Well worth the time and money.

Glad it's worked so well for some. I've got an 01 that's steered like crap from day one. Put on the steering stabilizer, 3rd gen adj. track bar, PSC steering box, new Billstein shocks, alignment. Still steers like crap. Oh well, guess that's just the way this truck drives. It's in way too good a shape and worth too little to trade so I'll just keep it. However IF I were to trade... ... . Toyota full size.

TOMSCREEK, what ratio is your steering box? If your steering wheel will turn 4 & 1/4 turns stop to stop then it will steer like crap. That is what I had. I changed to a box that is only 3 turns stop to stop and my truck steers great. If you get another box turn the input shaft and count the turns stop to stop before you install it to see if it is the right box. -- email address removed --

It's the 3 turn box and it steers poorly.
As I understand it any slop anywhere can cause sloppy steering. Wheel bearings, Tie Rod ends, Uper and Lower ball joints, Steering shaft on 2 wheel. On 4 wheel, which I know little about, there are numerous issues. There could be slop in the output shaft, the one that connects to the pitman arm. If you off road you may need a Borgeson steering shaft, the factory one is not a real good shaft. Wish I could be of more help. You are doing the right thing by tapping into the wealth of knowledge that can be found on this site.

Give Rip a call about the price, if you can find it cheaper he will do what he can to keep your business.

Dave:)

X2 Give RIP a call. You won't find a nicer or more honest business owner. He will steer you right and do what he can to earn your business.

Thanks but I'm done throwing money at this thing. I'll just continue to herd it down the road. Actually it's not that bad. I can live with it.

Installed mine today fairley simple , and noticed a differance right away. steering is mutch tighter around courners. good add on.
