I'm very judicious of the use of my Grovers as they could definetly set off road rage..... just like indiscriminant use of black smoke.

They have saved me from at least three for sure wrecks. Lots of "dropped" cell phones, as every fourth car in my area has some idiot on a cell.

I wouldn't be without them.

I have cracked mine open a few times. If you activate them by a lever, you can control the blast to where its is useful but not too loud.

Hornblasters are fun!!!!

Yeah they are loud at 125 PSI... ... ..... but I want more. Time to upgrade the air lines to flow more volume from the tank. The compressor fits nicely under the battery box. I used service station air hose from the pressure switch to the rear of the truck to the air tank. Right now I activate the air solenoid from a toggle switch, in the future I will tap into the horn button circuit. Horns are placed to fire out the passenger side of truck for maximum "WAKE UP" ability!!!:-laf

Road rage would of been sure had if this moronic lady would of hit my truck. Sue got a good 6 doses of the black stuff. if I wasn't wanting to get to work early I for sure would of make her miss her exit/turn/whatever.

I wonder what these people think. "it's a truck, it's slow, I'll cut him off!". is that really the case in the heads of these people?

Video?

HA!

Does anyone have a video of them rolling some coal and blaring the horn as they run down the road? Kind fits the bill eh?

Most of those people are just morons and have no business being on the road. We just had a whole family wiped out from a lady who panicked when she stopped at a railroad crossing. The crossing guard comes down across her windshield so she panics and darts out in front of the train. They had to identify her from dental records.

Yet another winner of the fabulous Darwin Award!

I agree they should start testing drivers instead of just handing out licenses like food stamps.

A decent air horn is good enough for any situation, I don't understand why anybody want's to make a fool of themselves and risk possible lawsuits or fines by running train horns which are dangerous for road use, they can rupture ear drums at close range.

That isn't quite as bad doing that to a pickup truck, as it is an 18 wheeler. They pull that crap with us too. It isn't an uncommon event either. If not nearly every day in a city, it happens every week. week. #@$%! #@$%! Not always to me, but I see it happen to other plenty.

I don't use the horns much, but I did have to do it 3 days in a row, a month or 2 ago. Got brake checked twice, and had someone pull right in front of me.

They don't understand I'll win the fight with the car. 80k vs 3-5k. Hmmmmm. I wonder who will win.

Most don't even "look" so there for it isn't there.

In my neighborhood we have un-controlled intersections. No one slows to what I feel is a max of 10mph to safely check right and left twice to ensure safe passage.

This "ghetto fabulous" punk in his POS car didn't realize that I'm slowing to a crawl and in the middle of the road with my right blinker on FOR A REASON. as I need to make a semi-wide turn to get into my spot in my driveway.

Knowing the typical patterns of ppl in the area I kept and eye on the mirrors. And wouldn't you know it, As I'm about to TURN he PASSED ME on the right squeezes between me and the curb.

I forgot, your a thug, you don't have to wait for traffic to clear. Sorry My bad. Red lights are optional as well. The guy didn't look, didn't turn his head didn't get up from his lean. nothing. I laid on the horn and started to turn to see if I can get a reaction. nothing.

It would of been pre-meditated "something" had I just hit the guy. I could of done some serious damage to his coke can of a car and him. I'm and a-hole, but I do have my lines if I can advoid it I will.

Now a train horn, that would of gotten some attention.

In the end, I took a walk, found out exactly what house he lives at (3 blocks away). Talked to a cop on detail by the park and he promised to visit the guy.

earlier this week as I was headed east from Utah I saw a 2nd gen Dodge (RV transporter) headed west that had dual train horns on the cab, it was quite a site. A couple days later as I was headed west from Indiana with my trailer I saw the same truck on the flip dead heading back. The horns weren't small either. I bet that thing is loud!

The problem with the "ghetto" punks is they have their stereos cranked up so loud that they wouldnt hear the horn anyway. #@$%!

When are people going to learn that you cant stop something that is 80K in mass and moving as easily as their 3K SUV???

Personally, I give em (truckers NOT ghetto slime)all the respect and room they deserve. :)

OH, I beg to differ. A real train horn, TRUCK HORNS set up right, will pierce right thru the bass boom of the punk's stereo. His name will become "Hashid Madraws. " (think about it :D )
