Still trying to decide what I'm gonna run... (Smarty/PM3 stack, Drag comp, or Hot Juice w/ Att... . ) Question: If I drive around daily with Smarty on 1 (Fuel Saver) then feel the need for a little fun and hit the PM3 is that a bad combo? Seems like the best of bothe worlds unless they collide on that setting? 02 2500 QC/LB 4X4 Auto.

I run a SMARTY with the Big Hoss which only taps the wire like a TST. SW 1 has agressive timing and I only use it when cruising on the highway. I have done a few WOT runs on SW1 with the Big Hoss and it went great. The rest of the time I run SW9. Towing I use SW3 without the Big Hoss.

I'd say go for the SMARTY / TST combo, thats what I'd do if I changed my Big Hoss (which works great).

i run that combo and LOVE it!! i think juice/att is better bang for buck but cant say for sure. i run smarty on 5 and tst on 4 WHEEEEEE!!

Right... I know all the likes/dis-likes/shudder/personal favorites on the options I have... . my main question is if it's OK and would it work well to run Smarty on 1 with TST off to get daily MPG, then flip on the PMS for fun. The thing I'm trying to decide is do I want a programmer where I'm constantly finding I wish it was on a different level...

From what I have read, SW9 is as good or better than SW1 at fuel economy. But I guess every driver is different so YMMV.

I have taken to running on SW2. No timing rattle, a whole lot less noise in the 2000 RPM range and the engine just seems to run smoother. It can get to the same Hp, but the diesel peddle has to be pushed farther to get the same response. I turn on the TST (pre-set on level 7) and it feels like a shot of nitrous.

So about what MPG are you getting running like that?

I got 16. 5 mpg around town the last tank. I have not taken any trips in awhile to judge highway mileage.

A few things to consider in my situation:

1 - ULSD - Winter to summer fuel

2 - Just replaced my VP44

3 - Mach 4's (150Hp)

My numbers are still settling out.

For me I am not currently out for the best possible mileage. The nice thing about SW2 (all the even numbered SW) is the engine is quite a bit quieter. I run 1800 RPM in 5th gear and 2300 RPM in 4th gear at 65 MPH. I have had to look at the tach to make sure I am in the right gear more than once. With a timing SW this is not ever a issue. ;)

Hey I've been wondering what are the fuel/boost lights for?

Boost - Boost Fueling

This is basically any time the TST has power attached, whether switch is "ON" or "OFF".

Fuel - Fooling Around :)

The TST switch has to be in "ON". LED indicaties when the TST starts adding fuel pulses and the G-Forces begin.
