I am trying to figure out if there is any consistency to the way Dodge is badging the trucks. The 3500 QC I just got has 4X4 on the right side of the tailgate with a Laramie badge under it and the Rams head under the tailgate handle. Now some trucks I am seeing have Dodge and Heavy Duty on the left side of the tailgate as well as 4X4 on the right. I'm really not complaining as too much badging looks bad anyway but it seems like it's kind of random or is it just my imagination?

Mine is an '03 and it has DODGE with Heavy Duty under it on the left side of the tailgate and 4X4 with SLT under it on the right. :)

The 05,06, and 07 models only have the ram head logo under the gate handle, heavy duty on the left side and, if applicable, a 4x4 badge on the right side. The 03, 04, and 04. 5 have DODGE, heavy duty on the left side, nothing under the gate handle, and 4x4 on the right side.

The `07's I've seen (including mine) have "Heavy Duty" as a part of the door badges, not on the tail gate. The TG only has the ram head under the handle and 4x4 on the lower right (and Laramie under the 4x4 badge if applicable).

For some reason mine also has a Mega cab emblem on the tail gate and none on the sides of the truck like every other one I have seen is this something that only my truck has or have other seen this as well?

Use fishing line and "saw" threw the adhesive stuff on the back side of the badge. Some guys use an automotive eraser that goes into a cordless driil and "erases" the rest of the adhesive. Then use a liquad adhesive remover to finish it off. pretty easy stuff!

Off topic, but I got my truck from the same dealer as you. :D

Schv you must have good eye site. I was very happy with Keene.

I am still trying to find out the answer to the mystery emblems on my truck

I have yet to see another with no megacab emblems on the sides of the truck and one on the tail gate. This is how it came I did not change them

My brother's got a mega that he bought from Keene at the same time I got mine - I'll double check his next time I'm down there, but I think his has the Mega emblems on the sides of the rear roof pillars, behind the back doors.

My eyes are getting older, but I recognized the hitch cover easily. :)

Sorry for the delay, but yes, fishing line it the key. I just used some generic adhesive remover to get the sticky stuff off, then gave it a spot wax.

It really does give the truck a clean look. But, to each his own!! :)
