Its time for some goodies. :)

The truck is a 98. 5 with a nv4500, full gauges, afe stg1, smarty, tst pm3, IIhrvp, and 4" exhaust. I have a sps62 and down pipe in my garage.

I'm looking for around the 525 mark and here is what I'm thinking.

m4s, arp studs, o-ringing, an h2 cam, and con fe. The cam might not be necessary, but the benefits would be nice. Also I considered having the head ported a little while its off, but its probably not worth it at that level:confused: ? Let me know what you think. Thanks, Nick.

p. s. any recommendations for a shop around the western ohio/eastern indiana area for o-ringing?;)

I don't have any personal experience, but by looking at the trucks they have built, I would say they know a thing or two...

I know that schied did one hell of a job on a frend of mines truck. Custom pistons, injectors, water meth, twins on and on. They pretty much re worked the whole engine and at 70MPH he can break the back end loose. it's a red 97 12 valve. There's some dyno videos on DTR if you do a little re search and look for John P's red rocket!!!

Check out my sig. It was worth 531 hp but with an intake upgrade and a switch to m4's I think 550 will be real easy. No cam, studs, rings or head work.

Wow, maybe I'll be able to beat my goalOo. . Thanks for the replies, I've got some m4s, an h2, studs, and a fe ordered. Think I'll go ahead and o-ring. Should be fun:) .

As far as my own truck it was a turbo, Haisley injectors, and a drag comp. 568hp.

Since I have put in a cam and some VP work bigger transfer tubes and added N20. Be on the dyno soon... ... ... . later.

I have one customer with Schied Lightings, a SPS62 and a drag comp, and he made 535. You will get there it is easy now days.

NDaniels -- what's your current combo worth? Mine is nearly identical, except for Mach II's and stock turbo. I really want to upgrade turbo and am wondering if you're happy with the combo... . you know, other than the BOMB bug of wanting more power.

Thanks

Tim

tim- u need a turbo! a 62/14ish should be good set wgate at 40-45psi should hit near 500hp and decent egts.

NDaniels- if u can use what u got listed id say 600+ !!

I haven't dynoed it before. I'm waiting untill I get everything installed, just started tearing it apart today, parts should start showing up next week. It sound like the head will take a week to 10 days. I'm not in too big of a rush, but I have the next few days off, so I figured I'd get started.

DCreed... I don't tow that much and the stick shift helps, but I am worried about spool time on a 62/14 size turbo... my injectors are probably too small? Then again, if I got the bigger turbo, it would be good reason to upsize to M4's:)
