Is there a web site like this where you can download manuals for the diesel trucks?

the hose should only fit on the low pressure side.
on a side note, if your system needs charging, it has a leak, if you use the Autozone charging stuff, it will work, but you will not be able to really fill it fully. you should really have it vaccum evacuated, charged, and dyed. go back in a few weeks to have them look with a blacklight to identify where the leaks are so they can be fixed.
short term, the can stuff is great, got my jeep through a summer, and the fix a leak stuff works great too, i would just not dream on using it on a truck as expensive as my dodge. the jeep is worthless (literally) so I am not going to pour too much $$$ into it
All very true, except for one small caveat... These trucks are notorious for being low on refrigerant from the factory.
That causes them to not cool very well and freeze up on long highway drives. It took 1-1/2 cans to bring mine up to snuff last summer.
