Stupid question: Are projector beams hallogen? Anyone see a version that's projector and HID?

I don't suppose you could post a picture of the headlights, both on high and low, up against a garage door or wall so I can check out the beam pattern please? I bought a set of lights that look like sport lights, but are just one bulb and the beam pattern SUCKS. It is like a horseshoe with a dark spot in the middle.

Only headlights that are approved for HID PROJECTION can be just that (High end Audi and BMW)



Now HID "Kits" that go into "Standard" H1 bulb projection cannot be used as the heat factor is far too much for the housing to take AND FACTORY H I D MUST BE *ADJUSTABLE IN CAB* TO BE D O T LEGAL!





*= Leveling capable either auto or limited movement to adjust for glare.

Once I finish my install I will do just that. I should have my harness next week. The pic I posted is with them in but not adjusted and on the factory harness.

Great - I intended to do the same, and then realized that I have my lights wired so when the high beams are on, so are the low beams (makes a big difference!) - so if you will provide your pics, I can too, and we'll check out whatever difference is available.

Tim is correct. I have the Audi A8 headlights in my truck and they are great. They are the Bi-Zenon headlights. Well worth the money.

WD I am dying to see the A8 setup you have going on. Did you use the OEM ballasts? Also is the leveling setup still operative? OMG Do tell Oo.

I had to swap the High Beam And Ground Wires as it came wired wrong Ehhh big deal for 23 Bucks I cannot whine. They use #10 gauge wire with seperate feeds for each relay to give full on brightness.

Now until I get theese things all set tomorrow night I will continue to fry squirrlles out of the trees and burn Worms at the same time ... yeah out of whack. But I will say this they are bright as hell! Waaayyyy better than stock by a long shot!
