Yep. That's what is was like some 25 years ago... .
Don't know if the "mothers of America" have said that is too harsh and it is not done any more??? Hell, DI's could'nt curse at us back in the day! It was PC back then that a DI had to ask MY permission to touch me in order to correct the way I was hold my rifle!!!!
I was on the yellow footprints two years ago this September - nope, it hasn't changed a whole lot... . I don't know what it was like back in the Old Corps, but we did table PT (all the platoons in a series arrayed around a table with an SDI/Series Gunny leading) all the time, and I distinctly remember the ones who couldn't figure out when to stop doing jumping jacks taken to the side with a series worth of green-belts - probably about 10 of them..... they had fun :-laf
That was ok but it's better one on one... ... anybody remember Gunnery Sargent Hartman. That Vid looks like someone needed there head screwed on right.
Ha! Mine either! I remember being hit, pinched, pushed, thrown (did I say that out loud?), stepped on, kicked, and by all means yelled at. We were damned good and disciplined by the time boot camp was over. That was only 20 years ago 2 months ago! Strange that barely 2. 5 years after that we were at war. It doesn't feel like 20 years ago! Honest!
