Hey now, once you get past the gang bangers, high fuel, home (insert anything) prices, goofy politics, overpopulation and earthquakes, the weather is beautiful...

Tom in Huntington Beach

Yeah Calif is high but ide take a earth quake over a twister any day . atleast up in the high desert there isn't any Smog . and at times alot of fun :)

Every place has there troubles . as far as I'm concerned you can keep all the Ice stormes and junk you guys back east get all winter . Welcome to Calif let's all speak English :)

I used Moss Motors to do a vehicle inspection right before I hit 70K miles... they identified a leaking front pinion seal and replaced it under warrantee... the $100 deductable was probably about the cost of the pinion seal replacement. I was pleased with the professional service writers and they have an efficient parts department (got my fuel tank skid plate through them), so I think they are OK. I still don't like ANY dealer who won't let you watch the work being done... my Lithia dealer in Billings didn't care if you wanted to watch!

I bought my wife a new (in 91) Dodge Dynasty from Moss Motors in Riverside, just south of the 91 fwy. They messed up the car, but did right and fixed the car and paid 6 months of car payments. Glad I don't live in the Peoples Republic of California anymore.

Give him a break about living in CA.

I used to live in So Cal, Lancaster/Palmdale area and grew up in Northridge, great place to live. I spent close to 30 years in the east, PA to be exact AND I would take earthquakes over the weather in the east any day. Look where I moved to retire, high desert area of New Mexico, it too has it's advantages and disadvantages but the weather is AWESOME.

No, I have not had any dealings with the dealership you have mentioned, BUT I told my dealership that I was the person making the $$$'s investment in the truck AND if I could not be involved in ALL that they do, I'd take my business elsewhere. I even offered to sign a waiver of liability/responsibility to be allowed in the shop. I get to watch EVERYTHING they do and participate in any decision making regarding any work.

I get in and out of there a few times a year ... ... ... . headed to Escondido in a few weeks actually. What I can't get over is the way the houses, in the high desert, are stacked right smack on top of each other. The weather may be awsome, but driving down the road for a pack of smokes is hazardous!

I used them on the advice of a fellow member a while back when my LP took a dump on the 210, put me in front of everyone and did OK... ( could've checked my outside duals for air, tow truck guy must've took the air out to get thing on his wrecker). Jeff, you coming through here on your way to SoCal?

Jeff, you coming through here on your way to SoCal?

Not sure yet. I've got 2 horses coming from Maine to SoCal and that routing is 70-15. Depending on what other horses I get on the trip, I may run to OK City and across 40. I'm working on a couple from KY-NE for that trip, that will take me 70-15 as well. I've got a quick 4500 miler to do before I head to SoCal, that trip isn't completely booked yet.

Beats working in the coal mines in West (by GOD) Virginia. Which I did. California gave me the opportunity to Retired at 50, own homes in three states. One a cattle ranch. California treated me right.

Moss Motors Poor Customer Service

About 10 years ago I got into a ******* contest with them. After having the wifes brand new car serviced at Moss Motors the brake pedal started pulsing real bad.

Took the vehicle back and was denied any warranty on the problem. The service manage at the time said the problem was caused from "riding the breaks", and that was his final decision. I tried to reason with the IDIOT but to no avail. My wife does not drive around with the breaks on

Never did ANY further business with them due to POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! #@$%!

Went to a Mom and Pop type shop (have done lots of business with them over the years) to have the rotors turned and new pads installed, where we were told that there is a "service bulletin" out for pulsing brake pedal caused buy over torquing of the wheel lug nuts.

When you coming on through? Actually, I was hoping you'd be buying lunch !! :-laf

The last guy I bought lunch for, ended up hauling horses, LOL. He was in NM.

Heck, I'd buy you dinner if you show me a local :-laf

I won't eat at the chain type truck stops ..... Cracker Barrel, Dennys, Perkins etc is okay I guess, but I don't do those truck stops!

I'll be comin thru sometime around 6-25/26 ... ... ... . I'm leavin the Buckeye headed to Maine the 19th, SoCal bound after that ... ... .....

Hauling horses huh... . heck, if it pays what you say it does, might have to look into that!! :-laf Show you a local what... ..... ? You have a PM!
