WANTED: Lifted 3rd gens pics & Opinions????

I am wanting to lift my truck and put no bigger than 35's on 18's... (mainly for looks... No off-roading)... . I want a suspension lift but NO POD/SPACER lifts... .



What lifts have you had/used/have on your rigs? And have there ever been any problems? (Pulling certain direction, rubbing, etc, etc).





I wanna lift just enough to clear 35's but not have a ton of fenderwell showing, but still have some good looking clearance..... And i dont wanna lift so 35's will barely fit and come within an inch or 2 of rubbing somewhere... I want them to clear and still have room so there nothing to worry about...



After lifting depending on what lift i go with i am installing bilsteins for shocks so that part is takin care of.



I just want pro's and con's of anything reccomended... ...

I don't baja or rock crawl. I love my KORE system, I would think a Chase system would be perfect for you, it will clear 35x12. 5 with no rubbing. There are a couple pics in my gallery. It may be more $ upfront but I believe KORE is built for the long haul-the shocks are suppost to be good for 100k and are rebuildable. To each his own I guess... . good luck

I agree with JCrockett. Getting a good performance suspension is the way to go. Much better that spacers or the cheap, thin wire, red stuff. I'm partial to KORE, but Lorenz and Cali also have good systems. If all you want is esthetic, then a leveling kit with springs is probably all you need and it will perform better than stock. You get what you pay for. 315/70s fit without a problem, no rub at full lock and looks very good.

Go with a BDS kit. Many options and warranted for life. I was told try to break it... you break we replace it (not including labor cost)even if its abuse...

I have a Kore chase system w/Fox2. 0 shocks. I am testing for KORE a new rear valving profile as we speak( not actually in the truck at this moment. Ha ha) It is the best valving i have used to date(and i have tried several). I will post my results after more seat time. I live in Mead, PM me if you want to meet up and go for a spin. I loooovvvveeee to scare people, i mean domonstrate what a KORE truck can do. :-laf

The other consideration you need to think of is which wheel you are going to go with. If you want 18's and 35's, you'll need to look closely at the backspacing of the wheel, otherwise, YOU WILL get rubbing. We talk to people about this all the time. You can run a KORE system (or something similar) and run 35's, but you need to have a wheel that is similar to stock specifications, otherwise you'll rub.



You can go taller, but you'll lose a lot of performance to fit a different wheel. It just depends on what you want to do with your truck. We clear 35's on ours with no problems and beat the snot out of it off road. But, our wheels are stock.



I've talked to guys that rub with 33's because the wheel they run is so wide and doesn't have much backspacing.
