I recently had had my tourqe converter and valve body replaced with after market parts. The shift from 1st to 2nd is firm but smooth. 2nd to 3rd is kind of harsh, but I can live with it. My main concern is the downshift from 2nd to 1st. When coming to a stop, it will downshift to 1st as soon as I slow down to 10 MPH with an audible clunk. What would cause this and how canI fix it? Anyone have any suggestions?

Who did you use for your after market parts? Can you get return calls or do they answer their phone? Does the installer (or is that you?) have any suggestions?
Reason I'm asking is I'm going to do same thing, VB/TC soon.
Never heard of methane injection, think that'll be propane injection! :)

Torque converter and valve body from Goerend bros. ,extreme duty rebuild kit from suncoast, billet input from PATC,proweld cooler w/fan. Itook it to a transmission shop and had them do the install. The harder I drive the better it shifts. It's the 2-1 down shift that is annoying. I called Goerend bors. and left a message. Hope to hear from Dave soon.

It's set up wrong. When I had my DTT put in the first thing I was asked is to describe my driving habits. They set the shifts up accordingly. Works perfect for me. Good luck.

Dave called me yesterday and also called the transmission shop that did the install. I am taking it next week to have the line pressure adjusted for a smoother shift. Dave was very helpful. I had a couple trouble codes pop up,

(P0868- trans fluid pressure low) and P0713(heat sensor voltage to high). We will also check those and Dave will rplace any parts if needed. A few minor adjustments aside, I'm pretty happy with the products and customer service from Goerend Bros.
