Downloaders/programmers and Daytime running lights

Have any of you canadian guys lost your daytime running lights after using a downloader? I put my truck back to stock with my triple dog and now my DRL are gone. Any ideas how to get them back? Perhaps my truck thinks it is a US truck now.

Technically it should not have made a difference. The DRL function as well as the country code is part of the Front Control Module (2003-2005) or Totally Integrated Power Module (2006-2007), but as you just found out there must be some sort of connection between the two. The electrical systems on these new vehicles can really do some strange things. I'm not surprised at anything I see anymore.

Same thing happened to me. My triple dog lost the DRL on my truck whenn I set it back to stock. Have not been able to figure it out.

Day Runnig Lights

Same thing happened to me. My triple dog lost the DRL on my truck whenn I set it back to stock. Have not been able to figure it out.

Make sure your parking brake is off and the engine is running when you check the DRLs. I have a Triple Dog and my DRL works after returning the flash to stock. I have a US model and had the dealer flash for DRL.

smarty hasn't effected my drl's...

My dealer actually told me it was a loose connection under the tipm, but I doubt that. I think their reflash had more to do with it.
