Competition 11.32 @ 124 mph where to get a cage?

Okay I gotta ask... Why a roll cage? Are you planning on running quicker then 10. 00? Also are you 4x4?



From the NHRA rule book:Roll cage mandatory in cars running 10. 99 or quicker or any car exceeding 135mph. In full-bodied cars, with unaltered firewall, floor, and body (from firewall rearward, wheeltubs permitted), running between 10. 00 and 10. 99, roll bar permitted in place of roll cage.



Did you have a tech inspector tell you, that you needed a roll cage? Roll bars are a lot cheaper, lighter, and easier to fit into the pickups then cages.

You are correct on the nhra rules. I heard there might be a change for our heavy trucks next year, so I wanted to look at all options. Yes my truck is 4x4 and I think it will go low 10's at 130-135 mph.

It's also better to have a cage and not need it, than to not have a cage and need it. .

Exactly... I don't want to think what would happen if you lose control and roll truck at the top end at over 100mph.



Heck, I'd like to have a cage on my truck just for driving on the street. Seen too many trucks and pics of trucks with the roof and windshield crushed deep down into right where the drivers head would be...

I have video of it. I will be making a copy and sending it to Chris. So I'm sure he will bring it by the shop and show it to you guys! He also said he is going to put it on his web-site.

Chris if you could get ADAM at winspeed to spend a little time ast the shop he could help you out. He used to build all kinds of NHRA approved cage for the race cars. I know the cage in his camero was certified for the 8's.

Somebody, anybody, please post the video, that was an awesome run to watch from the big end, I'd like to see it from any vantage point
