Is there any update on the warranty issues with DC concerning the 100,000/5yr . after the basic 3yr/36,000? Anyone had any success with this issue?

local dealership comes through

I actually just had some sucess with the cummins warranty. My truck had 86,397 and the basic warranty was up on 12/06 when I brought it in 2 weeks ago with low fuel pressure. The local dealership told me it was the lift pump which was just replaced 14 months ago with the retrofitted pump, I new my warranty was up and asked them about the cummins warranty. He had no idea and gave me the number for chrysler support. After about 45 minutes of being transfered around because no one knew what I was talking about until I told them the page# to find the warranty on I was finally told they would contact the dealer to get the diagnosis on the vehicle. Two days later I got a call from the delaership saying the lift pump and the VP would be covered except for the $500 customer participation as they called it. Of course I took out any and all mods that could have affected the truck. Good luck
