problems with BD intercooler

I have a buddy that has and 06 mega cab,and has the BD twins and BD's intercooler and he is only running about 65 lbs of boost but he is having problems breaking the weld loose and basically blowing them up,he has done this now about 3 times,he sent it back to them 2 times and they supposedly fixed it,and finally the 3rd time they sent him a brand new one and now that one was is messed up, its like they just aint built tough enough,they are designed to handle 100 lbs of boost,has anyone experienced anything like it,,,,,what should he do????

Buy a better intercooler, sorry to be so blunt but, if he needs help real bad... .

You also cant be fixing your intercooler every other couple of weeks. Put the stocker back on till he can get a good one (do search) Lots of people on here dont like BD, I personally havent had any problems with there stuff, but you know how bsd news travels. Personally I would have went with some Industrial Injection twins, go with someone who doesnt build a one size fits all.

if he went with another intercooler he would be out quite a bit of cash,you no BD isnt gonna give him any money back on it so he could buy another one

i have had 3 of them and all of mine have done the same basic thing. if you pm me i can talk about what we are doing but because of the tdr rules i can't post it here. but talk about the worst company with the same line thats the first time that we have seen this. lol i have a city diesel now and no i didn't get my $ back. just wait till them turbos go next mine did along with 3 trans 2 boots and a boost fooler.

I hate to say it but he should have bought a Banks.

Mine has seen some serious boost for sustained periods... and is holding up well.

ask him to email me we need people that have had those problems and i bet it will take a while but we will get our money back and some for the hassle.
