Has anyone experienced lack of performance of their A/C? My truck, an '06 with 48000 miles on it has A/C problems. It's working but not as it should. The temps are in the 90s, and the A/C is medium cool at best. Any other problems like this? Thanks. Jerry Henry:confused:

Got an '05 quad cab 4x4, last year they replaced condensor (leak) and diverter door (busted) under warranty, worked okaaaaaay for rest of the summer. Now it's 115+ in phoenix again, drivers side air is just barely acceptable, passengers side air is not. Wife won't even ride in the truck with me (not entirely a bad thing) because its so miserable. Gonna get it into dealer again soon, gonna trade it for a chevy if I cant get this resolved. Figure I shouldn't have to sweat for what this truck cost!!!

just my . 02

Nope, have had my truck 1 yr, 30,000 miles and no issues. It has been 95-105 degrees around here this past week and A/C has worked flawlessly. Sorry to hear you are having issues w/yours.

Tom.

JHenry, not to hijack your thread, but I just noticed your sig says you are in Sandpoint, my Bro lives there, Upper Pack River Rd. I didn't realize it got that hot there!

Tom.

My 06 is cold but has very little air movment. Ive been to the dealer and had the newer/redesigned box installed to fix the broken door problem.

if you search you will find no less than 10 different threads on bad AC for the 3rd gen trucks. seems to be mostly the 06's and the mega cabs, which i have both. I had an 04 and it blew tons of air and was cold fast.

The service writer here in town told me she knows its a problem and DC was supposed to address it. Which is a big deal because most of the time Im telling her about known problems with these trucks or TSB. So if she knows about the problem it must be very wide spread.

My '06 is exactly the same. 15K miles and has been the same since new. Not happy with it, going to dealer soon.

I just had an AC hose replaced at the compressor. Per the dealer one of the hoses had a restriction causing a thunk. As a side note, the AC worked fine before/after repair.

Well, right now it's ranging between 90 and 100 here. It doesn't get as hot or stay as hot as many other places, but I prefer to have the windows up, so I run my A/C any time the temps are above 75. What does your brother drive? Maybe I'll run across him somewhere.
