I have heard a Smarty will work but I can't afford it. Will a superchips work? I want to adjust my speedo. What other options do I have?

Thanks,

Ben

I've been wondering this myself. You'd need something to advance timing. The Ottomind only adds duration. I'd like to try adding some timing for a little smoke control from the DD2s and throttle response. An Edge EZ would work for timing only. I'd think the Smarty would work. I was wondering what the Big Hoss tuner from Banks does. The web page says it doesn't pierce the pump wire, so I assume it advances timing. Plus it would be "compatible" with the Ottomind. But coming from Banks it won't be cheap.

I tried my Smarty with my Ottomind. Not really a good combo IMO. The Ottomind does its protection logic stuff and seemed to fight against what the Smarty was trying to do.

It seemed to me that Smarty + Ottomind = Ottomind. If you go that route I would suggest just running a Smarty and disconnect the Ottomind.

You might have been chosen as a major lotto winner, just check the 3rd Gen forum for details. I am sure it is there somewhere. :)

I totally disagree, The smarty is the last addition to my sig and it made the final touch to a great ride. For sure, towing 10K I can't use all the fuel available but no matter what setup you have at this level the stock turbo can't keep up.

The ottomind I have only taps the wire and the smarty does the timing+fuel in the ecm and it is awesome. 394HP at the wheels isn't bad:-laf

I'm not saying the ottomind fuels as good as a TST but it holds it's own and is smokeless as it only fuels starting at 8PSI.
