Gooseneck trailer ….???

Hello everyone and thanks for the help ahead of time.



I tow equipment for my business, and currently use a bumper pull style trailer, Trailer by it self including trailer weight anywhere between 13,000 and 15,500 lbs. but I’m always leaving an attachment or 2 at home because I’m out of room on the trailer deck. Truck seems to handle it ok, but I’m out of deck space on the trailer and have decided to get a GN trailer. Looking for recommendations.



I know I will get a minimum of tandem duals with 10K axles. Maybe 3 and or something else if you have a great idea.



I’m undecided on manufacture so any recommendations would be nice.



Deck length ? I’m thinking about 30- 35 foot + ramp area ETC. Any recommendations and or reasons to go longer ?

I looked and looked for what I wanted and finally built one... 22 ft bed, 2 12K axles with electric/hyd disc brakes... . We've had it loaded to 20K and it works well... .

I'd do it the same again... . I'd never go back to electric brakes... the power disc will stop this load down the worst hills... . at 20K lbs it will overload our exhaust brakes... . but the exhaust brake will hold 15K without a problem...

When you buy the BEST FIRST, its cheaper in the long run.

If you're not turning short a lot, go with a tri-axle. They pull a lot easier and they're a heck of a lot cheaper. Ride better too.

Define alot ... I pull to my location, customers home, ETC unload and leave, so culdi sacks, U turns may happen, backing around drivways ETC. will happen. So Im not like hot shot that travels on the highway for 4K miles and then turn around. I drive maybe 50 - 60 miles park unload, turn around and leave.
