I'm sorry is ANYTHING going on north and east of pennsylvania? It is summertime! Dynos/ drags/ meets??? anything less than 2 hours of ma,ct,ri corners????????

you're site says otherwise. Maybe the members are afraid to post for inability to compete. from what I've read over there not much/ enough paticipation and yet no one is asking over here? sounds fishy...

While your post barely justifies a response, somehow I feel entitled:-laf. If you were around for more then 6 months on TDR you would recognize probably 75% of the members over there are TDR members, also you would notice in your quarterly publication that the NETDP site is the TDR chapter website for the region.

You can also read through the archives back to 2000 and see just how many events have taken place in the region, way before my time as well, and how many people have participated.

And as far as your edit to your original post 8 hours later:rolleyes: regarding trucks not being able to compete, from seeing your sig before it was recently changed, Id estimate 60% of the trucks on that site would mop yours up all day long.....

Can I have the last 5 minutes of my life back now?

Ummm, dude,

As far as your post on our trucks... I'd be carefull... Open mouth, insert soot...

This group has grown since 2001. Started out with myself and a few others. (Yes ALL TDR members).

I'd probably re-think your posts in the future.

Funny post DCreed, nice way to make friends in Connecticut!!! Obviously you have not been an active member of TDR. If you have, you would of noticed that we have a very active TDR chapter in CT. We meet every Fri night in Derby CT. in a garage that we (TDR members) rent. We also modify our trucks with the collective help from all. You think we have an inability to compete? I tell ya what: Bring your truck down to Derby one Friday night and compete. If not then GFY :-laf

Just a note: Last Friday night we had approximately 15 TDR members attend our Friday night meet, some from your neck of the woods, and some from Mass. We probably have one of the most active TDR chapters in the country.
Again GFY

Gfy ?

Hello um gentlemen... ? I have posted several times in several places asking for assistance in getting to know LOCAL diesel lovers. To the few that answered ,thank you. the edited post '73 spoke of was changed out of frustration as it seems no one had much to say unless an opportunity to throw stones arises. I also take for granted that the post was antagonistic( it was meant to be to see if anyone cared) so I dont mind a ribbing over it. I admit it is my fault I haven't taken the 2 1/2 hour ride to see you guys, hence my interest in local events, I just dont have the time to spare. which is also why I dont read multiple forums. However I also historically have not bashed or belittled anyone, this thread was an experiment for me to see if members care. And 73's post of" nope nothing going on around here" was less than helpfull. I wont however judge all members or non by the comments here or there, but I have to ask; when you guys do meet me will it be as a misguided brother or an enemy for getting in your face to get a response?

I think you'll find us most friendly and helpful. If you're 2 1/2 hours away from Derby, Ct you must be much closer to the Massachusetts boyz, who are also quite active, friendly and helpful. There are many trucks in the Northeast that are quite stout. The meanest ones inherently have the quietest owners. They don't jabber a lot about what they can do, they just quietly do it. If you want to become more active with Northeast members, we'd be glad to have you aboard. If you can't make the time to do so, that's not anyone else's fault. Good luck whatever you decide.

Some of the baddest trucks are on jackstands while their owners vacation in Arkansas... :-laf

You will not be an enemy...

How do you see it taking 2. 5 hours to get to Derby if your in CT. I can make it Walpole where MassDiesel is in 2 hours...

I wouldnt say "less then helpful" was the intention, It was kinda more of a use the scroll button on your mouse to read some of the active threads already posted before starting a new thread. Heres one ya started, and you will notice everyone was cordial twards you, and even helpful. . https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/northeast/182808-ct-events.html

If ya start a repetative post every time your bored you will either get no answer, or a sarcastic one.

Good luck.

Hey, it isn't on jackstands anymore (unless someone stole my crappy tires). I do still own a soccer mom minivan, though... . :)

2 1/2 hrs with the warp drive turned off. (too many tickets:rolleyes:)

the repetition is from me trying to find a meet other than the local oldies cruises thats not so far as to be a planned trip. Friday nights arent the best for me as I have early Sat. lessons to give at my barn and thats business before pleasure. :{

maybe an up to date functional calendar for us "not so tuned in "types? at least then I could catch up with some folks here n there.

Thanks Prattenbury, maybe I'll take you up on that offer.

I do plan on being at Holly Dodge on the 22nd(it's a Sunday!):)

I'll also TRY to get down to Derby soon as I can. ;)

Our calendar is up to date and functional. Oh... wait... maybe we should change it for you. What night is good for you?

obviously not real good with computers, havent looked for calendar on N. E. site yet so it may well be wonderfull, I dunno. Just dont be quick to take things personally ,it may not be for you!
