Has anyone used Luke's links on anything besides a track bar? My drag link is shot and Luke's say you can use their link on tie rod ends. Anyone??? Thanks...
 
I just replaced both ends of my drag link,from the pittman arm to the Center link,as they were too loose for me. They were replaced with MOOG parts and both ends cost about $70 each new. I am not sure why you would want a band-aid like a Lukes Link in a area like this... Andy

I have the Lukes on all my joints. .

I just snugged them up after 50k miles of abuse.

They are such a great idea.

I did have some very minor clearance issues when turning full lock.

I was able to use my 4" grinder to clearance the metal bracket.

Replaced the tie rod ends on my truck and they seem to work pretty well. Haven't had to do any adjustments after I cut the spacers to the right length (my fault as I didn't follow the instructions). The vendor provides exceptionally good customer support with quick shipping.

Yep I had replaced every joint on mine with lukes ('Cept the track bar because it is a dt) and my truck ate them up quick (10K) I had to snug em twice and by the last time the spacers were crushed so thin that I couldnt grease em.



I equate this to duallies having a different centerline over the axle as opposed to the standard 2500 positive offset style. With the weight of the front end centered directly down the centerline of the axle bearings it makes steering "Effort" harder on the linkage as opposed to standard positive offset making it easier effort wise on linkage but vulnerable to wear from "Shock" like holes, sharp bumps etc. Like Hammer I went to Napa and got the Fleet Tough series (Which is noticeably larger joint wise) and they have been great ever scince.
