Well it seems that after 148K, my injectors are finally giving up the ghost. It comes as no surprise as I've only used standard filtration and have fed my baby all kinds of horrible stuff (WVO, WMO, Kerosene, ATF, you name it). Can anyone suggest to me the best place to buy complete replacement injectors. I understand that they will likely be remanufactured by Bosch. Thanks for the help!

Don M's F1's would be a good replacement, also there's Piers Diesel, and several others.

Other than aftermarket, you can go down to your friendly Dodge Dealer and spend more on stockers.

Don does not sell new injectors he repairs yours and replaces the tips witha tip of your choice they are a lot better than stock but I have heard that he had a few problems at the shop and is like 2 weeks behind??

What are they doing that makes you think they are on the way out? :confused:

Thats right - I spaced that when I responded. Whadda 'bout Piers and Dynomite Diesel? Sounded to me like DD sold thiers and took yours for the core after wards... . ???? I'll be doing mine after the warranty expires (had two replaced so far)

umm first off just WOW... ..... prolly should try to keep 20 bucks around so you dont have to burn atf among things. but i believe its industrial injection that repairs injectors. give them a shout.

warranty- whats that???? :rolleyes: I think thats were the dealer and DC rep try to figure out cheapest but not always the best solution to get you on the road again but normally the cheapest route for DC:-{}

Thanks for all of the replies guys. I took it to a trusted diesel only shop where we hooked it up to the DRB. No codes but when we shut down the injectors individually, only when injector (#3) was shut off did it really make the engine run rougher than it already is. You could notice a couple others changing the way it ran when we shut them off but not to any great degree. There were a couple that we shut off with no apparent difference in smoothness at all. She idles pretty rough usually and only smooths out after a load at any rpm or high rpms without much load are reached. If I run at highway speeds for a while, it seems to run smoothly for a little while and then the roughness returns.

With respect to Don M's F1s, he would only inspect and then install his tips no? If I have injectors with worn bodies and other internals, he doesn't rebuild the whole thing as well does he?

based upon the above, a slight repair sounds in order. I doubt a full new set of injectors are needed...

So, the DRB tool is the only thing out that can shut down a individual injector? Can a Smarty do that? Lightman, you have one of these?

NO:) Snapon has a scan tool that will But the DRB tool Will also tell you how much power each injector is putting out when it kills each injector it monitors how much extra fuel is used to keep up the idle speed
