2500 vs. 3500 - How Different

I finally got my truck back! From the body shop right to the mechanic shop.

The body shop replaced the grill busted by the deer I hit, and I had them paint the entire truck. I also had them leave it debadged.

I bought new wheel simulators and added the Ute BullBar.

After I got it from the body shop, I took it directly to a buddy of mine for a leaking wheel cylinder and to add a muffler :)-{}).

We also added Ride-Rite with Dual Command III. Instead of side-side control, we plumbed it with a quick disconnect in the bed for the trailer. We also added an additional 2 gallon tank along with the supplied tank for on board air.

I ran out of places to mount gages and gadgets, so here is where we ended up mounting the gage.

Yup, it's still the original 5600, still shifts nice. With 4:10's I rarely downshift climbing mountain grades, which is supposed to be hard on it too.

In '03 the paint was "dark garnet", later years were more like a dark wild cherry. This is the original paint code, they just added some pearl and extra coats of clear. It lightened it, but not enough to do door jambs and stuff.

04DP, I only had 73,000 on it when I shut the shop down and went "horse haulin" in 2005.

It's dirty already, been raining here off/on.

I took the Mopar tread plate running boards off long ago, but left the tread plate mudflaps on it. After the paint job I put these on instead.

My g/f doesn't like them (or the muffler), but I like 'em :D

Looks great Jeff, how about a full side view shot.

I'm leaving in the AM for a 7,500 miler. I'm stopping at the Blue Beacon to get the trailer Citrus Shined before my 1st pick-up... ..... I'll take a pic when I roll out of the "streakin beacon" :-laf

"My" '03 T800 Kenworth hit 500k this afternoon. ;) :cool:

I'd be right there with you if I'd have been "driving" since I bought the truck. I only had 70,000 and change in the fall of '05. In fact, I told my girlfriend if she didn't quit booking me so heavy, I was either quitting or buying a "big truck" and not coming home anymore :-laf

I set the company up, but she does all of the booking. She can be ruthless sometimes :-{}

Yup, some PIAA's on the bumper, some SS bed rail protectors and some SS weights on the flaps and it should be done. You'd think a month would be enough to do everything, but I ran out of time. :{

Getting out this way again? Looks like I have 15 round trips between here and Reno coming up, probably back to back! :eek:
