FYI if you don't know yet:

My brakes kept getting weaker. Pedal feel was hard. My problem ended up being a collapsed main vacuume line just off the pump. I've got my brakes back, this must have been a problem for a while, I don't remember my brakes ever working this good. My blowby has been heavy too, I hope it will get back to normal after cutting out the bad hose.

There was a recall concerning the vacuume system letting oil into the line and wrecking the hose and many other components. Check with your dealer or online to see if the recall was done, or if your truck was even part of the recall.

My 95 wasn't part of the recall but I still had the main vacuume line go bad about 7 years ago.

The vac line is bone dry inside, it collapsed right at the hose clamp. I'm still leaking oil at the vac pump though. About a half quart evry 1200 miles. I can't tell if my leak is a seal or mostly blowby. Since it leaves a 6" to 8" puddle I'm thinking its from that leaking gasket at the vac pump's front? The front timming cover is bone dry, I'm probably fixing the KDP with a BD kit next week. How hard is it to pull the Vac pump?
