Meanwhile I'm waiting to order my oil. Maybe I'll wait a little while until more information shakes out of this discussion.

I notice the online Amsoil oil selection chart still specifies 75-90.

You might be waiting a LONG while before a documented answer arises. Don't get me wrong I'd use Amsoil Severe Gear again(75w90) but I will add posi additive.

I've said the very same thing to D. C. reps,Carson Dodge and AAM more then once in a couple of years and NEVER on a memo from AAM or D. C. has surfaced. Carson Dodge said it was in the 06 shop manual? Any one have one to look that fact up?

2006 Manual... Save pic to read. 75W90...

OK, I just put 75-140 Royal Purple in my rear diff and I plan on putting 75-140 in the front tomorrow. Whats the down side if I do it for 15,000 miles? Besides the money, its not that big of deal to change!! I guess I can return 3 qts I javent put in the front yet for 75-90.
They both look thin compared to my outboard motor lower unit oil!!

In Florida and in the South probaby no real issues. Run it. I would if it was already at my door. I just don't like guessing and shooting from the hip. Like being told the 06 manual states the 75w140 etc. I like real facts.

I would save the 75w140 for your next change of the rear diff and go out and get some 75w90 for the front...

Later ;)
