When looking to buy another truck for daily driving and light pulling loads I assume you want the 3:73 rear end gears?? So when looking at the truck how do you tell what gears are in it ? One last question , Can you look in the same place on all the trucks from 01- 05 and find it ? thanks guys as always Brian

Not a good chance to find 3. 73 gears. Stock choices were 3. 55/3. 54 and 4. 10.

Even if you can't find the sticker, there should be a tag on the axle with the ratio on it.

as long as they are stock the sticker/tag can tell you. otherwise assuming its a open diff, put it in neutral, lift one wheel and count driveshaft revolutions against wheel revolutions and divide by two.
