Boost Gauge

Can someone please tell me where to tap for a boost gauge. I currently have an Outlook Monitor. The backlight is going out, so I am replacing it with AM Ultra Light gauges. '06 ctd mega cab.

I bought a boost bolt and I removed one of the manifold bolts and got my boost from there.

i just removed my intake horn and drilled/tapped it. . free...

but a boost bolt is a great way of doing it. very easy to do as long as you don't over tighten it and snap the bugger off

Thats the bugger right there. I used some blue lock tight on the threads just for a better seal. I got the idea of that spot some other members on this site. Some peeps even have a nice pic of where it is installed in their readers rigs section.

I think that my Pac Brake compressor mounts to that location. Any other options?

You can use any of those bolts. I used one farther back near the firewall.

One or two of the bolt locations won't work. My Pacbrake is also in the same location from the pic. I used an inboard bolt near the back.

I put mine here.

I put mine in the open bolt hole as shown in the picture and could not get a reading. I will be changing it to a different location tonight.

Try pulling the bolt back out and start the truck with the hole empty. Feel the hole and see if there's air coming out. I think you might have another problem!?
