I recently read this article in my Land Line Magazine about Truckin for Kids Race at Irwidale, Ca on October 7. Oo.



Its a fund raiser large car show for charity put on by a fellow trucker. Its the 27th, annual show------

Some of us have been going for many years... ..... It has moved around to different venues though. Last year we were out numbered at least 2 to 1 by the Duramaxes. The big rigs tryed squeezing us out so we pitted with the Chevy guys.

I never realized it was an ongoing event till I read about in my Land Line Magazine.

I'm glad to see that we are represented well. Even if those other trucks show up. :-{}

I read that they wrote a check for $25,000 last year. Give you & everyone that attended a great big Thank You for their contributions. Oo. Oo. Oo.

If you can get any pictures, video or DVD, kindly let me know. Maybe they can put it out for sale to the rest of the country? It is a small world after all.

Many years ago my son had open heart surgery at the ripe old age of 5. I had no idea how I would pay all the medical bills. The Crippled childrens society came to our aid and helped cover a substantial amount. They were one of the benefactors of truckin for kids... ... ... ..... I have been as loyal to the event as possible.

I will look around to see if I can find any pics.

Thats quite a haul for anybody in the midwest or east.



I wrote it for the guys out west, just in case they were near enough to go.

It sounds like something worthwhile, just like the Toys for Tots we have the first weekend in December ON MOTROCYCLES for kids. Oo.
