Competition Red Hot's welding truck pulls with the big rigs - and beats them!

Mark from Red Hot Welding emailed me a whole bunch of pics this afternoon and I just had to share his experience...



Due to all the welding equipment still on the truck (~12,000lbs ?), he was too heavy to pull with the pickups and too light to pull with the semis - so they made him pull exhibition with the semis - with the same sled settings/weight and everything else.



Long story short - he pulled 251' and beat 3 of the big rigs. Needless to say, this raised a LOT of eyebrows, upset some folks and made the crowd go absolutely wild. I can't imagine what the truck would do if the sled wasn't set as aggressively...

Thats awesome. Im sure the 3 big rigs that got beat weren't happy, and I can only imagine the crowd's reaction to a 1 ton DRW outpulling a Class 8 truck. Congrats!

thats why the call them semi trucks. they are only half trucks. ours are fulls trucks thats why he did so well.
