where can i get the seal for my injection pump on 92 the front seal on my pump is leaking and filling the crank case with fuel! and this truck only burns 500 ppm fuel what gives thanks

The front seal is in the ve pump rebuild kit for around 18 dollars. You can get it at a Bosch Dealer.

ok thanks for the reply i tried a serch but all i could get was the term you serched for is to short#@$%! and if you just type in injection pump witch is the only that it will bring up you get 50,000 pages of worthless junk#@$%!

The Bosch seal kit number is DGK-121. Just bought one last spring for 2 O-rings. Got mine a Central Motive Power in Denver, Colorado. Any Bosch Automotive Dealer should carry them. GregH

What gives is that the 500ppm fuel is too dry for the VE. I think it was designed back in the 70s, no later than the early 80s, to run on 5000ppm fuel. Age, combined with dry fuel, and a light duty cycle will wreak havoc on the fuel system. That is why I prefer trucks that have been worked (within reason) over cream puffs

well i got lucky i decided to take the lift pump off and geuss what it was shiny and had fuel dripping out of the mouting flange and you could see fuel had been running down the inside off the pump right into the block. i guess i got lucky this time i was almost certain that i would find a bad injection pump seal
