I just put the 285/75/17s on last week. If they last, they should be the perfect tire for me. ~34" tall, A/T and nearly 4000 lbs weight rating at 80 psi.
Cheapest I found them was on tires-easy.com. Even shipped, they beat everyone's cost price here in St. Louis.
Good luck to you and hope you like them.
Awesome - thanks for the info
Do you have any pictures? And how do they handle the curves? Much sway?
Or does that tall sidewall hold pretty good?
Sorry, but no pics yet. Digital camera went south on me.
The tires handle very well on the road, which is the only place I've had them so far. Sidewall seems to be very stiff, especially compared to the 285/70Terra Grapplers E load I had. The ride is much less harsh and more solid. I have the fronts aired up to 78psi and the rears are at 72psi. My truck has had DW issues and there isn't a hint of DW w/ these tires.
Honestly, if they wear well they will be the perfect tire. At least for me.
I'll try and borrow the girlfriend's camera and get some pics.
How's the 2WD traction? Those of us with 500HP and greater would need to know. My attention next set will be for traction in 2wd. 4x4 fixes things, but not all the time.
