I've always considered mine an 01. 5 because of the rear disk brakes. It is Mexican built with wheel well liners and under hood insulation. Build date was 3/01.

The Mexican plant must have had a larger stock of underhood insulation left over than the St. Louis plant. My early 3/01-STL-built didn't get it.

Regardless of the presence of underhood insulation, lighted vanity mirrors, pax grab handle, or rear seat cupholders, the rear disk brakes are a pretty good giveaway that it would be a 2001. 5.

WELL... ... . I have rear discs, no hood liner, rear wheel liner, no plastic on tailgate, no rear seat cup holders, green paint with scratches, an SD card player, black floor mats, and BUCKING HORSES on my license plates!!!!!!

Does it have the front Axle CAD? If it have a 2001 model year and was built in July 2001, it is what we call the 2001. 5 because of the rear disc brakes. That also is right about when they put the 7 year / 100K warranty back on. Mine was built in May 01 and sold to me in June 01 with 3/36 warranty. Take it to a dealer and ask them to pull a VIP report of you.

SNOKING

OK... . perhaps a stupid question, but what is a front axle CAD?

I have an 02 4x4 6sp w/no underhood liner, rear disk brakes, CAD, and wheelwell liners. Does DC still produce the underhood liners?

. . . Does DC still produce the underhood liners?
Yes. You also need fifteen retainers to attach the insulation. Mopar is real proud of them.
