hi dan, maybe i should not have worded that the way i did...
when i purchased my fass sys i already had done away with the factory tank and was using a large aftermaket tank that not only has a sump, but is mounted high above the fass. so i knew supply would not be a problem for my application. guess it is not that big of a deal to install a large dia dip tube if a guy is using the stock tank, but that is something you dont have to buy when using a piston pump.
then there is the whole pressure thing. i tested my fass with 2 gauges (both autometer) and both read over 20 psi. i bought a aei reg (for $125, minus fittings) to fix that, but i dont know if avg joe wants to deal with that
my '92 had a banjo at the inlet (12mmx1. 5). its real tight there but if you run a 12x1. 5x-8male (straight) you can get a 90 degree -8 x 3/8 jic on it. but it is real tight. if you dont have snap on wrenches you prolly wont be able to get it tight
i dont know if the non-i. c. trucks used a diff fitting?
don
