I installed a 3600 dd from South Bend and did the hydraulic upgrade. I now have 2700 miles on this clutch and it works great. Here's my question and/or problem since about 2000 miles on the clutch I have to adjust my hydraulics out (clutch safety switch) 2 turns cause the truck won't start. Does anyone know why and is there something wrong?

I had a similar issue on my '03. Somehow it's related to the throwout bearing and the "height" of the fingers when the clutch engages.

I had to modify the threaded rod so I could get the clutch cancel to work properly without the arm holding the throwout bearing contacting the clutch fingers. It sucked, as I couldn't let anyone else drive the truck. Only I knew "the trick" to get it started.

Other than switching pressure plates or modifying the clutch safety switch (which interferes with your cruise control), I'm not sure there's much you can do.

Surely someone with more experience will chime in.

You could always remove/modify your safety switch.
