HAS ANYONE SEEN A REAL DIFFERENCE IN POWER WITH REMOVING THE EDGE FILTER AND EXTRUDE HONING A SET OF CONNECTOR TUBES, THE ONE THING I NOTICED ON ONE TRUCK WAS IT STARTED EATING INJECTORS EVEN WITH THE FASS RACOR SETUP...

you dont have to pay for the 'extrude honed' ones, they aren't even done that way. Take a drill, drill it out a little bit and knock it out from the other side

COOL, BUT IS IT WORTH IT, DO YOU KNOW OFF HAND WHAT SIZE OF DRILL BIT TO USE AND ARE YOU MODIFYING THE TIP AT THE INJECTOR END?????

I wouldn't just take a drill to them. You'd have to be able to smooth out the drilled holes which wouldn't be very easy without them being honed.

I just took out some tubes that were honed. If anything, I think it made problems with over fueling. IMO, the tubes need to stay stock and other things should be done to gain more fuel... i. e, modded rail, modded CP3 or even better dual CP3's and injectors.

The hole in the injector is only so big. I see no benefit by enlarging the hole feeding it.

btw... Underwood... . if you send them to someone, they're honed, not drilled. The metal the tubes are made of is so soft, a drill bit would eat them up !

, cool thanks for the info:cool:

not to pick a fight, but you could clearly see on my tubes were the drill bit hit the side of the tube. they were not EDM'ed as was claimed, and I wasnt too happy when I found out they weren't.

to each his own, I was just trying to share a cheap HP trick

I don't have an HPCR but the vp trucks also have them tubes in. I drilled mine out and like it. Drill them to . 093. There's something about storing more fuel at the injector that makes em run better.

Accually William your wrong, I dont want you to be confused here and would like to elaborate on this a bit.

look at a stock transfer tube

then look at the ones you bought.

look at BOTH ends.

the ones you bought had the edge filter knocked out and THEN were EDM'D

. 093 bigger than stock!

as a matter of fact i will post pics of the difference if you wish!

You were sold what you asked for---EDM'ed transfer tubes, and they flow

40+% more than the stockers All day long, and hold more fuel volume than stock, but they are for a Race only application, as they offer no protection like the stockers do in between the fuelfilter and the injectors. so it is unlikely, but possible to get debris from your cp3, fuel lines or fuel rail, lodged in your injector.

hope this helps.

yes but do the stockers flow more or less than the injector body. . ? and do the edm tubes out flow the body by alot or just a little bit. . ?

Mine are drilled and are just fine. Dont recomend it unless you have some fairly large injs and are going for highest hp. IMO there is no need at all for EDMing them, the tubes are soft and any drill bit will drill it right out, the edge filter was pretty hard but it also just drilled right out.
