COOL, BUT IS IT WORTH IT, DO YOU KNOW OFF HAND WHAT SIZE OF DRILL BIT TO USE AND ARE YOU MODIFYING THE TIP AT THE INJECTOR END?????you dont have to pay for the 'extrude honed' ones, they aren't even done that way. Take a drill, drill it out a little bit and knock it out from the other side
, cool thanks for the infoI wouldn't just take a drill to them. You'd have to be able to smooth out the drilled holes which wouldn't be very easy without them being honed.
I just took out some tubes that were honed. If anything, I think it made problems with over fueling. IMO, the tubes need to stay stock and other things should be done to gain more fuel... i. e, modded rail, modded CP3 or even better dual CP3's and injectors.
The hole in the injector is only so big. I see no benefit by enlarging the hole feeding it.
btw... Underwood... . if you send them to someone, they're honed, not drilled. The metal the tubes are made of is so soft, a drill bit would eat them up !
not to pick a fight, but you could clearly see on my tubes were the drill bit hit the side of the tube. they were not EDM'ed as was claimed, and I wasnt too happy when I found out they weren't.
to each his own, I was just trying to share a cheap HP trick
Accually William your wrong, I dont want you to be confused here and would like to elaborate on this a bit.
look at a stock transfer tube
then look at the ones you bought.
look at BOTH ends.
the ones you bought had the edge filter knocked out and THEN were EDM'D
. 093 bigger than stock!
as a matter of fact i will post pics of the difference if you wish!
You were sold what you asked for---EDM'ed transfer tubes, and they flow
40+% more than the stockers All day long, and hold more fuel volume than stock, but they are for a Race only application, as they offer no protection like the stockers do in between the fuelfilter and the injectors. so it is unlikely, but possible to get debris from your cp3, fuel lines or fuel rail, lodged in your injector.
hope this helps.
