That was wild the way the rear end of th etruck bounced up when she blew. The worst I have personally witnessed was at the national finals ntpa in Louisville where the tractor blew out so bad right in front of us we could feel the heat from it.

That is a Big Man to be askin "What happened to it?" Thats not what I would have done after exploding a $30k motor. BTW I think his name is Jason Thornberry.

Sounds to me like something in the driveline let go and the motor grenaded from the RPM spike.

i went over and talked to him a few hours after that happened, he had cooled off pretty well by then. he said the rear end is locked up, t-case has something broke, something in the transmission let losse and was leaking oil, and well a hole in the block you can throw a cat through. he gave some of my buddies i was there with pieces of the billet cam for momentos, it was in over a dozen pieces. somewhere around 4500 rpm when it let loose

$30k is a lot of bread. Can someone breakdown how you get that much wrapped up in an engine ???? I can see $10 or $15 grand (that includes buying the engine) but more then that WOW !!

I hear you!! A lot of these guy's think you can just hang a turbo add some boxes or fuel plates with some injectors and wow you have a sled pulling motor
