I like to install everything in my truck so it's reversible w/o a trace. In my last truck, it included a SRT-10 A-pillar and Autometer gauge pod where I had the gauges and MP-8 knob mounted. Easily switched back to stock. The TST was mounted in the ashtray.

Looking at my '07 Sport, have the same options for gauges, but I'm looking for a good spot to put switches for a Pacbrake, TC lockup switch, and the MP-8 knob. I'm also going to be adding heated leather seats.

I think I want to put the switches and knob in the plate that houses the rear window slider button. Does anyone have pics of the plate with both the slider and heated seats (and any other factory switches that go there)?

I also read that Katzkin has some Mopar agreement, and that I can order through a Dodge dealer. The flyer implies that it includes the factory switches. Anyone have any experience?

Thanks.

How about the cubby hole between the radio and the heater controls? That would be a good use for that wasted space. Or the other useless cubby hole to the right of the heater controls, more of a reach with that one though.

If I had the software for my new camera installed, I would go snap a pic of my 06's dash for you. If no one else ponies up a pic for you, I'll try to get you one this weekend.

Thanks...

Believe it or not, I use the useless cubby :)

I got a peek at an '06 Laramie today...

I think I need to just buy another plate and see how I can best lay out the switches.

John here's my set up. I know you like analog. Bret has put a couple of QUAD commanders in and they seem to be pretty good as well.

Do you still want a pic of the seat heater/window switch? ill go snap one if you want.

Well... ... ... sorry no hula but the GPS is built in to the A/2 monitior along with the back up camera. The sat radio is built in to the stock stereo.

I too would like to find out more on the bezel plate that fills in the cubby right below the fan controls in the center of my 2005 as I would like to add switches for a PacBrake, aux back up lights, etc. I actually have 5 separate OEM part#'s for that bezel, but none of the parts guys can tell me which bezel accepts which switches (heated seats, 4wd selector on trucks with AT). I also don';t know iof these translate to the 06-07, but maybe it will help. Here are the numbers which I got from my local dealer; if anybody finds out more info or descriptions of these parts, please repost here. These are mopar #'s-- (56045624ab),(52851543ab),(56045639aa),(56049710ab), and (56051052aa). It would indeed be helpful if anyone has time to upload pix of their center dash consoles. TIA

Modified, thanks for the pix--the cubby below the fan controls in my 2005 QC is definitely larger (it's almost identical to the bezel that houses the fan controls) so the part#'s I quoted definitely won't work for the 2006-07 models. Anyone with pix of their 05 dash??

Take a look at the pics in my gallery. The pictures show how the standard katzkin heated seat switches look on the dash of my 07. 5 mega.

That's part of what I'm looking for.

What's the switch in the center? It doesn't look like the rear slider switch which is in the same location on my truck.

Please send me a pm with pricing for that Katzkin kit. I'm curious what a real-world cost is.

thanks.

... and the other thing missing is the view of the road! SCARY!
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... dont be afraid of a little tecnology. Try hanging up your cell phones, those folks are the scary ones.

Actually my set up doesnt block my view of the road at all. Since i can use the GPS for the spedo, and monitior eng temp and RPM i dont have to look down as much. I lose sight of the road for less time than if i look down between the steering wheel at the OEM guages.

By the way, since it looks like you're in California, you should know that you're in violation of vehicle code 26708: Material Obstructing or Reducing Driver's View. V. C. Section 26708 - Material Obstructing or Reducing Driver's View

Garmin mentions that their products are not legal for use when installed with a suction cup to a windshield in California and Minnesota. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=9160

Nonetheless, if you're worried about other driver's on cell phones, maybe the CHP will overlook you. Good luck! Just a friendly FYI.

Ok, thanks for the C. V. C. lesson.

Im well aware what infractions i commit when driving my truck.

Im not the worried one, and why would the CHP overlook me because im worried about other drivers on cells? that statment makes no sense.

You never know who might be a LEO, right Jason? ;)

You guys are making me jealous with the LWB trucks, whether a Mega or LB.

My comment was about all the stuck on clutter look that pic showed, not the vision issue. Too me it just looks like the stuff was thrown at the dash and it stuck, not very well integrated in my opinion. The Hula doll comment was in line with what I was refering to, the others took the ball and ran with it in the wrong direction.

Stuck on the dash? you mean the A2 monitior?

Clutter? I guess I could have 10 guages stuck all over the A-pillar, the dash, the steering colum, the cubby holes, that way i would have to look in 4 different directions instead of looking at the road.

Anyways you know what they say about opinions... ... there just like @55#0!!5 everyone has one.
