Well,

I'm finally making my last payment on my 03. The truck is about to turn over 70,000 miles. This is the first vehicle, after paying off, that I actually still like and want to keep. :D

Well 4zquarod let me be the first to say CONGRATS !!!!!

That should give you some extra bucks for more mods or some other toys in life. Glad to hear you are still happy with your truck and have plans to keep it.

Yeah, seriously, Congrats! I didn't have payments for quite awhile until I bought my current truck. I miss not having them, but this CTD truck is worth every penny! I enjoy it whether it's in the driveway, I'm driving it, or even when I'm cleaning/maintaining it. Too much fun.

Enjoy your PAID-FOR truck!

I'm about at that same place on my '02 (85k) and it feels GREAT.

I think I have the VP44 and the LP thing figured out and sure do not want to start tackling another whole new set of "what the heck is the problem here?" I just want to enjoy driving 'her and not worry about getting under to fix "xyz" every time I go on a long trip.

It does feel really good though to get it paid off, congrats

Congratulations :)

I almost enjoy sending my 455 per month for the 06 Its such a sweet rig. Seemed like parts and repairs were dam near that for the 1996 I traded. I put a small fortune in that truck to keep it 100% and in the end the rots got to it. To paint ,do new cab corners, bed skins and doors would be 5k-8k more dumped in a truck that was worth 2k on a trade:(

I once heard that only the rich or the poor in america own their cars. Good thing that you didn't lease, you would be getting for round two. What is wrong with getting a 5th wheel or trailer that your truck could pull?

I tow an enclosed trailer with sand rail & quads. A 5th wheel won't quite cut it. As far as what I bought..... its a gasser:eek:..... just couldn't swallow the cost of the diesel pushers. I picked up an 08 Southwind 35A with the 8. 1 GM/six speed Alison trans / Workhorse chassis. It seems to do what I need. Had to design a hitch that could handle the trailer weight though. Gross on it is 30,000 lbs so I am just under that.

Paid off my 05 bout 6 months ago now I don't have to remember to make those paym'ts already have 8000 miles on it. Got take a few trips soon as I get all my chores done.

never had a vehicle payment... I always pay cash, but I'd sure like to have your truck! :D

I will let you know when I get ready to sell I usually keep my trucks for 20 years and they usually have around 80K miles on them Down side the coastal climate kinda starts rusting through in spots. My previous truck 84 Ford 6. 9 is still running strong I use it as my yard truck.

Hoping to start using my Cummins more next year need to do more trips up the coast.

I did the same thing, I paid off my truck in March and bought my 5th wheel in June. . Payments are less for the trailer though, so I gained a little. It is nice to have a paid off truck that still has a ton of life in it. . Scotty
