I have an old safe in my basement that I am going to move out while remodeling. Its a good time to get it out because a wall will be out.
It is a Herring Hall Marvin Safeco.
Outside Dimensions are 30" wide 30" deep and 53" tall.
Inside Dimensions are 20" wide 20" deep and 3' high.
The lock has been removed and some pieces are broke but I think most all the pieces are there.
It has a UL tag saying it is Class A fire and Class T-20 Burglary rated and sreial # is 2948.
My questions are what is a safe like this worth and how old is it? I can't seem to find much info about them online.
It has a painted on logo on the bottom of the door saying
"Sold by Midland Safe and lock co Minneapolis Minn. "
Does anyone have any knowledge of safes that can help enlighten me. I would like to try and sell it. If that doesn't work maybe donate it to a historical society or museum. Any suggestions?
