2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission steering stabalizer?

The steering stabalizer on my 95 4x4 is leaking oil. Is there an aftermarket alternative?

dont bother with Skyjacker, superlift, rancho, or any of those junk stablizers. They all are the same thing with a different name on them, and they are worthless, tried them and they wear out fast and dont seem to hold up. I now have a SS from ThurenFabrication, it uses a steel clamp on the tierod, and a Fox aluminum bodied Stablizer (woohoo, it WONT RUST!) Hands down is worth what it costs, and if it wears out, you can rebuilt it!

Does the thuren product have to mounted hanging down as shown on their site?

I think I'd knock that thing off with big (Moab style) rocks. If it can be mounted higher, it might be the way to go.

I ended up with KYB. No douobt the Thuren/fox unit is better but at 10 times the price, I did not go there. I like KYB products and have their shocks on my truck. We will see.

What size do you go with for a 01 dodge----1. 25 or1. 5 O. D. size,help me out here cause i would like one to go with the Kore Recon suspension i have on now. Thanks

Thanks---thats who i bought my system through last year but the stabilizer was not available yet----might upgrade to the fox shocks from the Bilsteins while i"m at it. time to give Kevin a call---CHEERS DW

steering stabilizers are band-aids. fix the real problem and you wont need one. i have not had a steering stablizer on my trail rig in 5 years that used to see 30-40k miles per year with big lift/tires.

don't get me wrong, Thuren makes some nice stuff. he started out on my site and I have his 2nd gen track bar and crossover steering on my truck and they are great.
