Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) which 5sp transmission were avail in a '98 1ton 4x4 ???

The only 5 spd transmission offered in '98 or any truck from '94 up was a NV4500.

I will bite I know it was close 03 04 since we have a early 04 i take late 03s

04's built in late 03 with manual and good old cali and a couple other states emissions rated at 250hp. The early 04s weren't emmission legal in cali and a few other states at the 305 hp rating. When the went to the 325 hp engines they were 50 state legal.

Yes I think so, and it came to an end with the introduction of the 600 series Cummins in Jan 2004 since they were all 325HP across the board.

i think the cali trucks had egr's and a 180 pump too but not sure.

Yup, my cousin has a Cali '98 12 valve with the EGR and 180hp pump.

All 12valves with egr were rated at 180 horse auto and manual. The egr was a california emissions item. All 12 valves that were built for sale in California new, from1/1/96-12/31/98 (build date) had egr
