Competition Great famous lines.

Competition Eldon, IA pull Oct. 6th

We had our 2nd last pull up here in Ontario this past weekend and I just wanted to say how much Stone Dust sucks for a pulling track!!! I couldn't get those BFG MT's to hook at all and just blew the tires out the hole way... Landed up finishing last out of the 3 trucks in our class which on a clay track I am put 40+ feet on them!!! I guess power isn't everything when it comes to pulling! I really wish we had more good tracks like you guys do town there!

Here is the link to the vid... I had to put some music into it because the anouncer was the worst ever!

... at least they didn't put down concrete to soak up excess water.

Now who was it that came up with that idea a few years back... :-laf

The stone also tears up the tires I believe,

I think thats why there was no Mod trucks at Stoneboro this year:confused:

Gene???

Yeah, you can say that again about the tires!!! I have nice cuts and gouges all over them! Oh well... I hear the track next weekend is a sand based track... . that should be fun!!!!

Ryan,

If you can dont just drop the clutch on the loose tracks.

Walk the sled out a bit before dropping the clutch this will take the initial weight off of the sled by getting it moving then when you do drop it you will have a bit more speed.

Yeah, I was thinking about that after watching the video and I was just doing what I normally did on the tight tracks... mostly I am still getting used to the weighted clutch... this weekend is the last pull of the season and its on a fairly loose track too so I will try to hold it down till I am rolling smothly.

Most commonly called walking the sled out :D

Just be carfull as lots of clutches don't like to be slipped that long and you will burn it up real quick.

Thanks Guys... So I am running a Haisley Comp Dual disk and although I can still hold it down up to 4500-5000rpm when having a sled hooked to me the turbo's light super fast and I am finding once they are lit I just can't hold it. That pull with the video above... At 4800 they lit and I couldn't hold it (and I am a bigger guy... 6'1/250lbs) I will try again this weekend and see what happens.
