I had both a Stage I and Stage II w/ PG7 on my '03. Clearly there's no reason to get a Stage I.

I was looking for new filter systems today, and found this:

which was on my old truck. And I also found this:

Does anyone know what the difference is other than the fact that the second one will fit a 6. 7 as well as a 5. 9? The filter appears different. I wonder which flows more air?

I beleive this is the latest release

advanced FLOW engineering

I need to test it out my wife appreciates quiet when towing on long trips.

Oh yeah!!!!

That's the one I've been looking for! I can't wait! I never liked the fact that the regular systems drew hot air from the engine compartment.

Hopefully it won't kill the beautiful song of a big single too much...

I put AFE's Super Stock IRF in PG-7 trim in my Home Depot modded air box. I've got about $80 in the whole thing and it dropped my towing EGT's just as much as the Stage 1 did. Nice and quiet too!

100 Proof

P. S. Anyone wanna buy a used Stage 1 with PG-7? PM me.

I'm running a MEGA CANNON on my truck, they make it for both the 6. 7 and the 5. 9. My truck as you can see in the sig is a 6. 7 and i love this intake... . You want your turbo to sing, this is the intake for you. You can just hear it suck all that air... It's a tight fit fir install on the 6. 7, there might be more room to work with it on the 5. 9's. They use the same kit for the 5. 9 that is used on the 6. 7.

Only difference is the intake tube from filter to turbo as an extra spot for a sensor and a hole for the crank breather tube. Of course though you would cover those holes up with the covers they send in the intake kit if you are putting it on a 5. 9.

Here is also a thread that i started on the AFE MEGA with pics.

How are those AFE "dry flow" filters cleaned?

I see a Restore Kit P/N 90-50500 is listed for that kit Bob posted.

I checked their site and couldn't find any info on it. I am guessing its a chemical applied before washing??

Pretty much like all the dry filters vacuum or LOW pressure air IIRC
