It's in the Math - 120 Hz rather than 60 hz for a TV.....

Gosh! I live in Reno and didn't hear anything about this! But dad's not home yet so I'm sure he will let us know. That is crazy!!!

I heard about it on the radio today. Reno is a hotbed of activity right now. There was a big I. C. E. raid last week on 11 McDonalds in town. They rounded up about 50 illegals, but let most of them go on their own recog. Humanitarian reasons. I think 8 got deported. Only 11,999,992 to go. #@$%!

Hey Melissa, nice mention in Diesel Power!

We have noticed in the past few weeks at our morning "fix all the world problems" breakfast that their are only mexicans working at the restraunts! all the whites and others are no longer working at them! no wonder it is that my kid cannot find a job after school he does not speak the language!! the silent revalution is in full swing now!

You were mentioned in DP? Cool!

Which issue? (I used to subscribe, but I got bored with it and only buy them every now and then... )

A couple weeks ago, a recently discharged Army vet was going to class at the University of New Mexico campus here in Albuquerque and saw the Mexican flag flying all alone. He talked with the school administration officials and after three days he went and took it down and tore it in half. He cited the federal law that requires the U. S. flag to fly at the same time and higher than ANY other flag - that didn't seem to matter.

He's being charged with destruction of private property and some civil rights group is trying to have him charged with a hate crime.:mad::mad:

I saw it a couple days ago. I think the guy was right. I had a conversation with a hispanic guy that works here and we both agreed that if you come here legally, you're more than welcome. Illegally, not so much.

I SUPPORT THE VETERAN AND HIS ACTIONS 100%!!!

To think that the man faces even the POSSIBILITY of criminal charges grates my nerves. That is just plain wrong and unAmerican. A man who knew the law does something and defends the flag of the greatest nation in the history of the wolrd can be charged with criminal action.

As for the vet at the Albuquerque, I know HOW a hate crime can become involved (persecutor wants votes, so he supports the future (brown) voters of his district), but it is still wrong. We should be able to do what is right under the law. In this case, it is ensuring proper display of our nation's symbol. Property destruction, I can kind of see, but considering what the property is, the flag owner should be forced to pay the vet the "value" (T. P. ) of the flag.

Be glad you can still defend your person in some parts of the country- not so here. If someone broke into my house, I'd have to find a hog lot and take a midnight drive. No way I'd call the cops. Too many people have been arrested for comitting the crime of self defense.
